David Johnson, Ph.D. is a senior shareholder at PCK he embodies PCK’s culture of professionals who bring a unique blend of industry experience and legal expertise to intellectual property law.
Before transitioning to professional practice, David served as Vice President of a flat panel display company, where he played a pivotal role in innovation and commercialization. As a named inventor on multiple patents, his work evolved from research and development to business strategy, including liaising with major Asian and European display companies, structuring business arrangements, and overseeing technology transfer initiatives. Additionally, he spent several years developing and commercializing the patent portfolio of a major telecommunications carrier.
With a Ph.D. in physics, David has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a broad range of technologies for an international client base. Based in Winnipeg, David leads PCK’s Manitoba practice, and providing strategic IP guidance to clients worldwide.
